I LOVED this book! I found it very difficult to put this book down. I highly recommend this book and Dannion Brinkleys other book At Peace In The Light. They were both fabulous!

This book was very misleading. It is an occult book it promotes satanism. the things he says in this book God told him to go and do were outrageous and the only one who would tell anyone to do these things is satan not God. I think the only reason he survived the lightning strikes is so that he could have another chance at finding the truth and not be decieved but looks like he failed, if the guy is still alive there is still time to BE SAVED by the LIGHT of JESUS CHRIST but thats the only way, i'm not relisting this book of lies i'm going to burn it!

Well, I'm still thinking about this one. I like to read these books after the dates of the expected revelations to see if these "light beings" are just yanking our chains. They always claim when the event does not happen as predicted that the future is changable, so therefore, you can never know if your chain was just yanked to get you to behave in a certain manner in order to prevent some great "predicted" disaster. Vision 13 is the perfect example of this. You would think that these enlightened beings could commumicate in clear, precise terms instead of "symbols" subject to the interpretation of any nut (I am not calling the writer a nut, I am just questioning the believability of these "higher" beings). The "puppets" and the "puppet masters". Be careful when you step into the spot "light" - you become a sitting duck.

I have read a lot of this type of book and I really enjoyed this one. Brinkley has a great writing style. Easy to read and moves right along. Gets to the point and makes a good argument for the continuity of the soul after death. Fascinating subject matter.

I bought this book because I had been reading the studies that Dr. Raymond Moody had been conducting of near-death experience, and have grown to greatly admire him for his courage, scientific discernment and honesty.

This is an account of Dannion Brinkley, who survived a lightning strike that shot down into his home's telephone wires and into a receiver as he was having a conversation. I'm not sure if Dannion actually wrote the book himself, but the accounts are folksy and chatty, so it's probably only edited by Paul Perry. Dr. Moody wrote a few pages of commentary. I would guess that the film, "Phenomenon" is very loosely based on Dannion's story, only much more highly romanticized. Dannion's story is heart-breaking and gruesome, but, surprisingly, he has you laughing all the way through the book.

I don't dispute that because of an accident that caused Dannion to be dead for close to 25 minutes, he would develop unused and fascinating talents. But, a lot of the ideas are familiar and not extraordinarily novel. The biggest leap for him personally was a total 180 in Dannion learning about compassion and, apparently, gifts of precognition.

It's a great book to read if you want a fascinating journey through a candid story about a riveting paranormal account, and not bothered by the fact that Dannion will make you laugh about stuff you "shouldn't laugh" about.

Ive bought the book after hearing Dannions interview on the radio. Dannion's story was an amazing one and he told it very well. Its not only about near-death experience but life transformation.

I'm not sure if I truly believe the experience as it's told, but it's an intresting story and a remarkable man to have overcome what he did.
