Very different from other books but good story Keeps you reading until end. Good mystery plus romance.

This book has mystery, murder and love.Don Scarletti is 100% alpha male.Nicolette is headstrong, but willing to compromise at times.Holds her own well.I give Christine credit, she keeps Giovanni a strong male throughout the book!(Good for her. Some do not.)The storyline stays on track to the very end.Even with the other characters. You get a quick meet of the other characters, but it's a lasting impression. If your looking for something different, give it a try.

The sexual tension in this book almost set the pages on fire! The plot was great too, it kept you guessing until well over half way through the book!

This is mesmerizing and haunting...you keep waiting to see what happens, a good book.
Strange, twisted carvings and hideous gargoyles adorned the palazzo of the great Scarletti family, but a more fearful secret lurked within its storm-tossed turrets. Every bride who entered its forbidding walls was doomed to leave in a casket.
Mystical and unfretted, Nicoletta had no terror of ancient curses and no fear of marriage....until she looked into the dark mesmerizing eyes of Don Scarletti. She had sworn no man would command her, had thought her gift of healing set her apart, but his was the right to choose a bride from among his people, and he had chosen her.......it's very good.
