The absolute best Chet and Bernie yet! I could not put it down and I laughed all the way through with Chet's antics and his way of thinking...so cute! Very clever series...can't wait for the next one!

This book was more intense than the last several books in the series. A real page turner and I love Chet all the more! I am left anxious for the next!

After waiting forever for my wishlist hit to come up, I read this book and I have to say that I was REALLY disappointed. In previous books in the series, Chet the dog was entertaining and cute with his doggy point of view. In this book, his point of view not only did not advance the plot as was the case in previous books, but all that "cuteness" was silly, inane and seemed only about the dog. I think that this was it for me with Chet and Bernie.

Enjoyable reading to take your mind off a stressful day. Interesting to read something narrated by a dog and how he sees an investigation go down. I', passing this on to some of my book reading, dog loving friends.

It's been a while since I last visited Chet and Bernie, and I'm not quite sure why. What I do know is that I was in the mood for some literary canine companionship, and no one speaks dog as fluently as Spencer Quinn. Even cat lovers would love these tales told from the point of view of Bernie's dog, Chet, who can only count to two because two is the best number.
Scents and Sensibility isn't all wagging tails and marking territory, however. Readers get to learn things like the laws involving the saguaro cactus here in Arizona and the tender way Bernie treats his elderly next-door neighbor (among many other things). The story is fast-paced and loaded with humor, danger, and even a tear or two. I don't know why I stayed away so long, but I know I won't be making that mistake again. Sorry, Chet!
