Best book I read in a long time. Yes, it is about cooking, but it is about life. It changed how I look at cooking and added to the way to look at life. I highly recommend the book. It is a quick read that you can't put down.

This book read like a set of short stories set around the people participating in a cooking class. The characters do cross over stories and weave together. The individual stories dealt with relationships - long term marriage surviving many things, loss of a loved one, relationship between mother and child and other. The book also explored as new relationships formed between the individual - what can be found through a chance meeting. Underlying all the stories, of course, is food and vivid descriptions of the food and the process of cooking. Being a foodie also, I really enjoyed the book!

A story about eight lonly people that begin to transform their lives while attending a restaurant cooking school. Cooking always brighten my spirits as it does for these folks.
