Nice addition to the Hex Hall series!
Similar in tone and style to the other main character, Sophie, from Hex Hall, Izzy takes a little more to move her to action, which is closer to the typical teen. Romance is kinda sweet and of course, we see it coming from across the football field.
The main thing that had me thinking this wasn't five stars was the fact that Izzy is not a normal kid, wasn't raised as a normal kid, and yet can blend in with the normal crowd just fine. There would be all kinds of nuances to the day-to-day in a high school and social skills that she wouldn't have the first clue about, and yet she leaps right in with her only misstep being throwing the ball too hard in dodgeball. Twist at the end could have used a little more detail. Had to reread bits a few times to understand what happened.
