Curiously, the stories included are all a lot older than the book (the most recent is 1977). One or two stinkers, but the rest are good. My favorite was "War Game" by Phillip K. Dick.

Since the book doesn't quite match the description above, I'll list the stories:
"The Singing Bell" Isaac Asimov
"The Martian Crown Jewels" Poul Anderson
"A Scarletin Study" Phillip Jose Farmer
"The Winner" David Westlake
"The Detweiler Boy" Tom Reamy (This was the one that seemed like it was in the wrong book)
"Time Exposures" Wilson Tucker
"Getting Across" Robert Silverberg
"War Game" Phillip K. Dick
"ARM" Larry Niven
