With the US economy in the tank this book is like a dream come true. How a young man with $25 was able to move forward leaving home with a sleeping bag and the clothes on his back. His goal was to have $2500 in cash, an automobile and a furnished apartment at the end of one year.
With hard work, perseverence and learnning to survive with a minimum of necessities takes courage and determination.
I highly recommend this book. It will make you appreciate what you have.

I found this book very inspiring. A college graduate decided to see if the American dream was possible. He starts his journey with $25 and a train ticket to Charleston, SC. He has a goal of having $2500, a vehicle and an apartment after a year. The author shares his perspective on living in a shelter with others who are homeless. This part of the book is what hooked me into his story and kept reading. I was intrigued with how he managed with little cash, the jobs he took, and the people he met along the way. Hard work, determination and his choices helped with his predicament.
