I have read Conant's dog books and this was recommended to me. I am glad it was. I really enjoyed it. A writer of cat mysteries finds a body on her doorstep - along with a cat (a living cat). She has told her readers for years that she has a cat but never has! She keeps the cat, along with another owned by the dead man. And stumbles across the killer during the course of things. The killer was NOT whom I suspected. Good one.

This is a really cute amusing book, without being too sappy. I am still reading it. It is the only one I've found about cats. I like the dog ones, but I think this one is even more fun.
Good start on a new "cat lovers mystery" series by a favorite "dog lovers mystery" author.
First in the Cat Lovers Series. Looking forward to the next one. This was a litle different in that the main character is a cozy mystery writer who discovers a body at her front door, and often refers to plots of cozy mysteries to explian what "should" happen. Overall very enjoyable.
For those of us who love cat mysteries. This is the first in a series of cat mysteries by Susan Conant, who is famous for her dog-lover mysteries. Funny and cleverly-written.
