I just couldn't get through this book. Usually I love Karen White, but not this time. It was so absolutely drenched in mystery that it was just too much. Just give the reader's something! I got tired of all the emotional effort I had to put into the book when I didn't get anything in return.

I usually like Karen White and have read and enjoyed her other novels as well as the Tradd Street series that had a mystery/paranormal aspect. However, I could not get into this one. It was like walking through wet sand. I kept wanting her (White) to get on with it. I finished it, but you knew what the outcome was going to be long before she got to it. Big disappointment.

Unlike another reviewer, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found the story very intriguing, and whenever I had to put the book down, I could not wait to get back to it! I loved the mystery wrapped in an enigma premise and found it to be a very satisfying read. This could be one of those "love it or hate it" books, but this reader loved it. Karen White did not disappoint with this book, in my opinion.

Sea Change held me riveted from cover to cover, I hated to see it end. With the past and it's secrets revealed slowly merging with the present and affecting any possible future outcome, Karen White is at the top of her game. The plot is solid and the details vivid, bringing clarity to the reader as the story unfolds. This story has stayed with me for days, even after I finished it, a mark of a great storyteller! Definitely pick this one up this summer - highly recommend!
