fast-paced, fun read
I enjoyed this book. Quite a bit of history and adventure. Unlike other Cussler books this is non-fiction

This book was a fairly interesting behind the scenes look into the world of shipwreck hunting. Many of the chapters are written in the Cussler style of a historic buildup and then merging into the modern hunt for the artifact. It's somewhat obvious that a few of the chapters are books that did not pan out, as many collections of short stories are. A word of caution to prevent letdown, Clive is much more interested in the hunt then he is the recovery or exploration of the site. In a few of the chapters he wraps it up by saying, we're pretty sure the was the wreck of the USS ____, but we had to go, I hope someone takes the time to thoroughly explore it.
