This story took me by surprise from the very beginning with its vivid storytelling. The magical world set near the sea with the beautiful seaside palace is a place I would love to visit. Rosalyn Briar did a wonderful job at showing everything in a way that transported me into the world and made me feel like I could see, smell and feel the world around me.
A Sea of Pearls & Leaves follows Princess Ingrid through her trials to find a husband to share her life with. Along the way she finds tremendous heartache and love in unexpected places. I thoroughly enjoyed this journey I went on with Ingrid and felt so many emotions along the way. Ingrid proved to be a stronger leader than she was anticipated to be.  I watched her grow as a person and as a future queen. I cannot say a bad thing about this story because I enjoyed every single page and minute I read of it. This is a beautifully written story that shows that with love and courage, you can make it through anything. A Sea of Pearls & Leaves was a breath of fresh air that breathed new life into the fantasy genre.
