Reading Nora Roberts is great, romantic escapism. This series was especially fun because the lead characters are men. They are well written and an enjoyable change from her usual female leads.

I happened to read the 4th book in the Chesapeake Bay series, Chesapeake Blue first. I enjoyed the characters and the theme of these books so much that I continued to read the rest of the series. Sea Swept focuses on the oldest of four adopted brother, Cameron Quinn. The themes prevalant in this series are commitment, perseverance, compromise, and unconditional love. Enjoyed the setting for the stories -- a small, quiet town along the shore.

If you haven't read the Chesapeake Bay series yet, I highly recommend it. Books are about 3 brothers (each book focuses on one brother) and their father dies. The father had just adopted a son, Seth, and now it is up to them to raise the son. There are romances but they also go through all the trials of being single parents (especially single fathers). I read one after the other and couldn't put them down! By the way, there is a 4th book about Seth when he is grown up.

Nora Roberts writes in a smoothly flowing way. This book is the 1st in the Chesapeake Bay series and wow, what a start. Excellent! Love, sex, family, this book has it all. If you know her writing, don't miss this one. If you have never tried Nora Roberts, this is a great way to start. You will zip thru this book, and be pacing the floors waiting for the next in the series.

Sea Swept tells the tale of three brothers--all former juvenile delinquents adopted by Raymond Quinn and his wife, Stella. Cameron, Ethan, and Philip are as different as can be, but they are bound by their love and respect for their adoptive father, who has recently passed away. On his deathbed he asks his sons to look after their most recent brother, 10-year-old Seth, who--if the rumors are to believed--just may be Ray's biological son. Of course, the brothers don't know anything about caring for the young boy, and if social worker Anna Spinelli has anything to say about it, they won't. However, the sparks that fly over the fate of Seth are nothing compared to the romantic sparks that fly between Anna and Cameron. Nora Roberts once again proves why she is the premiere author of 1990s contemporary romance. Her stories have universal appeal, and Sea Swept is no exception.

In her new trilogy, Nora Roberts writes from a mostly male perspective. The Quinn brothers, Cameron, Ethan and Philip, are legendary in their small coastal Maryland town. With no blood ties between them, they are bound by the love, respect and acceptance their adoptive parents Ray and Stella bequeathed them. When Ray is fatally injured, the brothers return to be at his side. Ray tells them they must open their hearts one more time, for he has taken in one last lost boy, Seth.

Jet-setting, speed-loving Cameron knows nothing about raising troubled 10-year-olds, but it's his job to set up a respectable home life for the four brothers. Anna Spinelli, Seth's caseworker, has her doubts about the Quinns adopting Seth, and she is also worried about the fireworks between Cameron and herself.

When rumors regarding Seth's parentage and Ray's alleged suicide circulate, the brothers band together to fight for their father's reputation and their young brother's life.

This new series promises to be extremely rewarding. Plot threads begun in this novel will unravel throughout the trilogy. The turbulent Quinns are one family you won't want to miss.

But when his dying father called him home to care for Seth, a troubled young boy not unlike Cameron once was, his life changed overnight. After years of independence, Cameron has learned to live with his brothers again, while he struggled with cooking, cleaning and caring for a difficult boy. Old rivalries and new resentments flare between Cameron and his brothers, but they tried to put aside their differences for Seth's sake. In the end, a social worker would decide Seth's fate, and as tough as she was beautiful, she had the power to bring the Quinns together - or tear them apart.

Cameron Quinn was a troubled boy who grew into a reckless playboy who races boats for a living. He meets his match in his foster brother Seth and Anna, the social worker. This is a rolicking good time and a fabulous start to the Quinn Brothers series.

Nora Roberts is a terrific author who writes the hell outta a romance novel. She makes the men shine and the women real. I've never read a NR book that I haven't loved.

Years ago, Raymond & Stella Quinn adopted three juvenile delinquents, Cameron, Ethan and Philip, and raised them as their own. On his deathbed, Raymond makes his sons promise to look after their most recent brother, 10-year-old Seth. Of course, the guys know nothing about caring for a young boy. When Social Worker, Anna Spinelli, takes over Seth's case, the brothers move into their father's house and decide to go into the boat building business together. Anna is very straight forward and does not mix business with pleasure. But soon the sparks are flying and she cannot deny her attraction to Cameron.

Great start to Nora Roberts' Chesapeake Bay series. I couldn't put the book down. There is an overall arch to the series about the rumor that Seth may actually be Raymond's biological son, and the fact that he paid Seth's mother to step out of the picture. It makes me want to dive right into the next book. My rating: 5 Stars.

- A great beginning to the lives of the Quinn Brothers. This book introduces you to the Quinns starting with Cameron and Anna Spinelli, and if you start on this one, then you'll be hooked to go on reading about Ethan, Phillip and Seth. It's one of Nora's greatest works, and if you've never read her books, then this is a good series to get started on.

Nora Roberts begins a trilogy about disparate brothers bound by ties of loyalty. On his deathbed, widowed Joseph Quinn exacts a promise from his three grown sons to care for the youngest, for whom he has recently begun adoption proceedings. Reader David Stuart carries us deftly through the lives of all the Quinns and their determined social worker. Stuart clearly conveys the character and lifestyle differences among the brothers. The few peripheral personalities in the story appear in exaggerated tones of Little Italy, Brooklyn and the Deep South.

This series of books are about three boys who came from troubled homes and were taken in by the Quinns. Both the mother and the father have died and now they are responsible for a fourth boy that was taken in just before the father died. Reading about the abuse of these boys before they were taken in is really touching to see where they go with their lives. Really have enjoyed reading this series.

There is a fourth book that continues on with the forth brother the book is "Cheasapeke Bay." Need to read that book also to get the full story.
