Janette Oke is always a great author of fiction. Her characters have relatable stories and tell the truths of life. This Oke book is about a girl who graduates from high school with friends, loving a boy from her hometown. But when her friends and love leave, she is faced with being left out of college and that life. Instead she lives yet in her hometown, not doing much, but is very lonely and feels insecure about herself and her situation that she cant change. But as she grows and learns, she gains confidence in herself as a strong, independent woman. And by the end her heart has changed as she befriends an older, nice woman and discovers hope of a new, true love..........
