This is one of James Patterson's earlier books. It is a pretty good read, but I have to admit I did not enjoy it as much as his more recent books. It is worth a read though.

DH says this one is "rougher" than most of Patterson's books. Murder and mayhem ... all wrapped up in a good story.

This is an early James Patterson book. Secret government plot to create terror, confusion and collapse through random slaughter of innocent people.

The author of the bestselling Along Came a Spider, Patterson, weaves a superb story of unrelenting suspense about an elegant jet-setting pair of psychopathic killers spearheading a grisly series of machete murders.

This was a quick read but not one of my favorites. It was hard for me to figure out the point of the story. Like a teen horror flick all the violence but without a complex plot.

Very fast-paced, filled with drama...if you're into James Patterson, this is right on a par with his other books, and you will be satisfied with it.

This is one of Patterson's earliest works, which is why some reviewers claim "it's not like the Patterson I'm used to". Personally, I think Patterson has gotten way too formulaic in his writing, seemingly seeking to put out MORE books each year (for the money!) than put out BETTER books each year. This early story is gritty and pure thriller, and well worth the read. I like Patterson and wish he hadn't lost the edge he demonstrates in this book.

I love James Patterson, and decided to read his early, early publications. I was very disappointed in this one as it I just couldn't get into it.

A well-written, spine-chilling tale, all too logical in outlook and outcome, particularly in the light of recent political events

I missed this earlier Patterson book when it first came out, but was glad to get the chance to finally read it.

One of Patterson's earlier works. I feel it lacks the polish of his more recent novels. Still, it's worth reading.

Skips back and forth in time, but well marked with chapter headings. I felt confused at times...but then that's perhaps true about everything with me :-)

This book is violent and brutal. If you like James Patterson, you will probably like it. I think there are far more entertaining authors.

Could not follow the story. This book is totally different than other James Patterson that I know off. There are no twist and turn or plot in the story, seem to me that some one else writting this book not the famous New York Time bestseller that I know and love.
