Best book I've read all year! Love the characters and their development, and the description settings are delicious. Highly recommended!

Very good read. I enjoyed the flow of words and the authors style. Before i knew it i was almost finished with the book. Was hard to put down. Story of love, second chances and finding what you really need it life.
An entertaining and very engaging coming of age story about a 48 year-old college professor. She moves from New York City (Columbia) to Amherst MA. (Amherst College) Her life takes on a whole new and different dimension as she buys and renovates and old Victorian home and meets new and somewhat quirky friends. I found myself emotionally engaged with Joy and concerned about her well being as her new life unfolded. I hope this is not Meier's last novel. She is easy to read and the story just flows. I really enjoyed it. This is definitely not chick lit but a wonderfully engaging story about life, friendship and the choices we make.
