Very good story about a woman who is accused of hiring a hit man to kill her husband. A friend from childhood appears suddenly and a romance begining. Could he be the killer? Maybe, maybe not. Could be her husband best friend who is sending her flowers every day or her Father in law. See if you can figure this one out before the end of the book.

This is the second Patricia MacDonald book I have read and I enjoyed it just as much, if not more than the first. I could not put this book down. I was determined not to close it until I devoured the very last page. The story is about a women whose husband is murdered. The police think she is the killer but do not have the evidence to arrest her. Throughout the story you meet a plethora of shady characters, each one convincing you that he/she is the actual killer. You do not know for sure until the very end. I highly recommend it.

One night, Laura Reed's husband is brutally murdered. The police don't have enought evidence to arrest her, yet they think she committed the crime. And so does almost everyone else she knows, exept for the one man who staunchly believes in her.
