I loved this book, it made the story so much more intimate and appropriate than the one portrayed in "The Tudors" TV series.

After reading Phillip Gregory's Tudor series I became very intrested in any one who had connections to Henry the 8th. This sounded like a very good story and it could have been if done by another author. The research wasn't at the same par as what I had become used to and I couldn't stand the prortail of Kathrine of Aragon as being so week. This is a nice love story but that is all that it is.
Lately I have been on an absolute orgy of reading about the Tudor court. I have read probably too much since I now feel I actually know Henry, Charles Brandon, Mary Tudor, Wolsey, Cromwell, and Mary's friend Jane Popincourt. I have seen portraits of Charles and apparently he was as good looking and handsome as he was said to be in his own time. I enjoyed this book very much. Much more than I expected I would. I cannot vouch for its' historical accuracy...but I really liked the book! Genny

A little slow in places, but a good story.

This is a very good book but it is a little slow in spots but it is worth hanging in there. Not excellent, but a good Tudor fiction read.
Loved this book.
