I usually like Carew's books, but this one bombed. The heroine, Janine, was too busy being Miss Sex Adventuress rotating among four guys, often all at the same time. She was so busy insisting that love wasn't for her that when she finally decided it was--and at the very end of the story, too--I didn't believe her. It was too little, too late. Sloan, on the other hand, had always loved Janine, and I didn't like how he had to compromise his love in order to have her. So all of a sudden he's okay with a committed menage relationship with others on the sidelines? Nothing rang true, and certainly love wasn't involved, nor was there a HEA I was happy with. I thought Janine was selfish and I just couldn't get past that. Two stars.

I used to love Opal Carew's books, but this one was terrible. The heroine wants to have sex with lots of different people, often at the same time. The hero loves her and wants to be with her, but she won't give up all the others, even his friends behind his back. The ending was just sad. They are together, but she still gets to have sex with everyone else. I'm pretty sure if the roles had been reversed (the hero wanting to sleep around and the heroine wanting monogamy) it would have never been published.
