Meg Rosenthal loves her job at Alliance. When she learns of an exclusive island resort in the Florida Keyes that caters to giving the rich a private vacation with no cameras or paparazzi, she believes it may be perfect for Alliance. Deciding to check out the resort, Meg asks Hollywood Heartthrob Michael Wolfe to accompany her. Michael is excited to see this resort and hopes all their claims of privacy are true. Meg initially clashes with the owner, Valentino Massini, when he rejects her application. It takes some convincing to allow her on the island. When Meg finally meets Val, sparks fly between them, and Meg thinks this may just turn out to be the vacation of her dreams.
This is the sixth book in the Weekday Brides series. This was a good story, but the relationship between Val and Meg was my least favorite. Even though I liked both Meg and Val, I felt like there was something missing. I just can't put my finger on exactly what bothered me about them.
My favorite part of the story was Michael. He was been an important part of this series and I was happy to see him featured in this book. Michael has hidden his sexuality from his family and his fans for years. The possibility of being able to have a relationship without any cameras in the way thrills him. When he invites Ryder to join him, he starts looking at his life and decides to make some changes.
Overall, this is a good story that sets up the final book in the series. My rating: 4 Stars.
