I read and enjoyed the previous books in this series but this one did not work for me. I had a big problem with the way the Alpha red wolf acted, way too laid back and not nearly alpha enough to head a pack of werewolves. The female red werewolf Cassi was an expert wolf biologist. But she was extremely irritating, so self-centered and needy. The story had very little mystery or action and if the author wrote loup garou one more time I think I would have given up on this read. Maybe some better editing would help.

I will keep reading the series since there are some interesting characters and I hope the future stories improve but there seems to be a theme developing here that I don't like. The heroines are turning into very self centered and annoying females.

First time reading this author but not new to the shape shifting genre. I was annoyed with the characters and the rambling story. The alpha seemed very weak while the female alpha whined a great deal. It appeared the author seemed to throw in the characters back story at odd times. I ended up skipping several pages to get through the story. This author seems to have good reviews so I am not sure if I just read one of the less successful stories or this is representative of the authors style.
