This was a suspenseful book about an ADA trying to save her niece from prison after discovering that she has been framed for the murder of her step-father.
It was a very good read, hard to put down, and the characters worked well together.
I highly recommend this book.

It's always exciting when a book keeps you guessing until the end.

This is the first book by this author that I have read. I was expecting the typical crime/romance, but I was surprised. The romance was there, but not overpowering. What you mostly get is crime...and it's gruesome. At least to me it is. It was horrible, made me cringe, but it also made me turn the page to see what would happen next. I finished it in one day. What I really liked about this book was that I didn't figure out whodunit until the very end. Brennan does a fantastic job at storytelling and you won't be able to put this book down. It's the first in the Evil series.

Very intense book, second of the series by Brennan. A bit graphic in violence...I did like the first better.
good book
An excellent read with a last minute of letting you know who did it.
Good story, interesting twists.
Second in the "Evil" series...great read!
Another outstanding book by Ms. Brennan!
What a great read! Keeps you reading until the very end!!!
a rather involved plot - just when you have it all figured out new characters are added to confuse the issue
This is the second story in the Evil series, another good murder mystery. I am about to start the third and final story Fear No Evil. I did enjoy the first book slightly more than the second.
Another great book
Chain of unsolved violent crimes, an unorthodox therapist, anonymous online patients purging their anger by posting lethal fantasies. Someone in the group has turned vigilante, turning the game of virtual murder into a flesh-and-blood vendetta.
This installment in the "Evil" trilogy (Speak No Evil, See No Evil, Fear No Evil) centers around Julia Chandler an assistant district attorney and Conner Kincaid, brother to Carina Kincaid and former police officer. Julia and Chandler have a history and it's not a happy one since it centers on the time when he resigned from the police force. But Julia's niece, Emily, is in trouble and Conner has helped out before as a private eye to help find Emily and Julia needs him now since Emily's stepfather has been murdered and Emily looks like the prime suspect.
Julia, Conner and Conner's brother Dillon work together to sort out some strange happenings in their area and track down the killers to help prove Emily's innocence. On the way to that end, Julia and Conner have to work through their feelings from the past and the feelings that they are currently feeling.
Loaded with suspense with a side of romance, plus characters you really like, See No Evil is a great read from start to finish. EAch time I set this book down, I couldn't wait until I could pick it up next and see what Julia and Conner would do. The mystery is intricately woven and very enjoyable to try and figure out. The crimes and the subject matter are dark and handled very realistically but you don't feel bogged down by the whole plot. These characters will stay with you for awhile as well as the circumstances in which the crimes were committed. Ms. Brennan has another winner on her hands and I'm only sorry I didn't read this earlier!

Good, riveting story. Language, adult situations and violence abound, however!

District Attorney Julie Chandler doesn't believe her niece tried to kill anybody. Emily has had her share or problems, including running away from home. But she would never go this far for attention. Without knowing where to turn, Julia calls on Private Investigator Connor Kincaid. Connor found Emily when she ran away a couple of years ago. He said he would help Emily if she needed it. Will he help Emily even though he blames Julia for the loss of his career?
The second book in Brennan's Evil Trilogy kept me glued to the pages. I'm not a fan of getting into the killer's head. In this book we spent a lot of time with a group of killers, hearing their thoughts. We know exactly who they were. The reader had to figure out who was controlling them. There were a lot of twists and turns in this story. My rating: 4 Stars.

Book #2 in a series.
Very good, real intruding and suspenseful.
