Hi there! Since my DF deployed (he's in the Army), I've been a bit down. I would love to read a great self-help book that will help me have a better outlook on life and find me again. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. :) |

I second Feeling Good. It was even a book we studied in graduate school (I got my Master's in Counseling Psychology). I'd really recommend it to you; it is considered a classic by many therapists.

Thank you both for your suggestion! (And thanks for the support, too.) I'm going to order the book on here. Only 2 more months until he comes home. :D |

For a quick pick-up I would recommend just about anything by Gary Zukov (I think I spelled it right). |

I'm reading "How To Win Friends and Influence People" right now and it's excellent. It's a classic and sold over 15 Million copies. |

Anything By Dr. Wayne Dyer helped me along this process. BRi |

As a fellow Army wife, I'd suggest "Help! I'm a Military Spouse". It's a great resource book with a lot of information on how to have a life while your husband's in the military and be happy. You can order it for free through Military One Source. |

This book changed my life. It's called The Artist's Way and it encourages people to find their passion in life creatively. It's by Julia Cameron. It's led to many life changing adventures such as opening an arts and crafts business and moving out into the country. |
