Helpful Score: 1
A nice (if short) graphic novel that bridges the gap between the TV series (Firefly) and the movie (Serenity). Good art, and a well conceived story that could have been another episode if the universe had gone a different direction.
If you're a fan, you need to read this. If you've never heard of Firefly or Serenity, start with the DVDs of Firefly to figure it out. Then this, then the movie.
Good stuff overall!

This graphic novel based off the defunct T.V. show Firefly. It takes place somewhere in between the series and the movie Serenity. So many good shows such as Joss Whedons Firefly end too soon so I am a big fan of the fact that they continued the story in comic book form.
The intro by Nathan Fillion was brilliant. The art is amazing. Seeing all the characters I loved from the tv show and movie. To me it was set up like an another episode of the show. The art matches dialogue wonderfully.
I was not a big fan of bringing back the bad guy who should have been dead but I guess no one stays dead in Whedon comics. This comic also jumps into the world of Firefly that anyone who is not a fan reading may be confused. I believe it is strictly for fans.
I can not wait to read more graphic novels of Serenity. They are a joy to read.
