This features Thomas Pitt of Her Majesty's Special Branch. I enjoy this series because Perry has researched the Victorian period so well. Every book offers tidbits on the way things were done at that time. The mysteries solved are creditable.

Number 24 in the Thomas Pitt series - very good, moves along fast, many surprises. A lovely mysterious Egyptian woman figures in this mystery along with some of the English/Cotton history.
