This is an interesting review of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Most people don't know the inside story of these architectural wonders. This book has a chapter on each wonder and details who and why each was constructed, where it was located, and what happened to each (if known). The author talks about the impact of each wonder. I was amazed that so many were decimated by earthquakes. I wasn't aware that earthquakes were so prevalent.
In the conclusion, the author mentioned that the wonders were mostly Hellenistic in origin. They might have included the Great Wall of China and the Roman Coliseum if they hadn't been directed thusly. This was an interesting read and was well worth my time. Overall Score = 4.5 stars.
