LOVE this book! I think everyone would gain something from reading. Personally, it helped me to more firmly grasp the concept of the Trinity. Highly recommended!
This story is an inner journey of seeking meaning in a time of tragedy and despair. Mackenzie Philip's youngest daughter, Missy, as been abducted and presumably brutally murdered from evidence found in a "Shack" in eastern,Oregon. Four-years of deep despair, Mack receives a note in his mail box. He's invited back to the Shack for a week-end . The note appears to have been personally delivered . . . but by whom ? And why now, four-years after the tragedy.
Mack's journey is a journey too many of us would question in our lives. But maybe a journey we,too, may have to take. It changed Mack's life and just possibly can change yours.
This book is a great read with twists and turns,ups and downs and each page is a step forward to a new understanding of tragedy.

I gotta say that this one, for me, wasn't as fabulous as its hype.
The first part of the book is totally engaging even though its horriffic, but then it gets into explanation after explanation after explanation, and although it moved right along, it seemed slow and almost boring. All that being said, I think that it would bring out some pretty good discussion at a book club. Tho I doubt I'll read it again.
