At the end of Shadow's fall all hell had literally broken loose and David was (probably) dead. Of Shadow Born starts a few hours after Shadow's Fall and hits the ground running. Be prepared to spend some quality time with this book you aren't going to want to put it down.
I've loved this series from the first paragraph, but there were...things...Big Things Sylvan did that bothered me. The awful betrayal in bk 2. Devon, oh Devon... the manipulative little shit. I love him like a brother but man do I sometimes want to smack him; And no I'm not crazy, Sylvan sucks you into the story, defines the characters and the situation so fully. I feel like I know them.
Now that I've finished Of Shadow Born I know WHY. And Hoo-Boy a whole 'nother plot line just opened up. I was sorry to see the story end. I'll be reading Bk 5 just as soon as possible.
