My father gave me this book when I was a child, it was his when he was a child. I remember how much I loved it. And when I found it on here, I snatched it up right away for my kids. My daughter espically loves this story. It has become one of her favorites!
I read this book when I was a girl, I borrowed it 3 times from friends of my big brothers. It was the best fairy tale book I read growing up,I couldn't get enough of it. I found on a site and purchased it, a few months ago just to read it again to see if it was the way I remember it, just a simple fairytale. I will have read it 40 some years later. Will be a fave of little girls, who like these type of stories, I am willing to bet. It has the same cover as all editions.
