This gothic thriller explores several of Vermonts dark mysteries that surround the origin of Vermont's stone structures, which may date back to Celtic settlements in the Green Mtns. The author intertwines fiction and non-fiction for an excellent read.

I am pleasantly surprised at reading my first book by Citrol. It will definately not be my last. His writing enraptures you into his book and was very difficult to put down. He keeps you in suspense and on the edge of your seat with vivid detail. I also enjoyed the way he incorporated local legends with accurate settings, except for Antrim, which is really in New Hampshire, not Vermont.I would recommend this book to all adults.

Very readable horror story. I really liked it and as this was the first novel I've read by this author am going to try and find some of his other novels.
This was my first Joe Citro book. I liked it enough to read another of his books. There were one or two gaps in the story, I thought, but it moved right along and kept my interest.
Best book Ive read in a while now. Was fantastic, a deff page turner, very hard to put down, kept me interested from page 1 all the way through. Loved the Autumn and Winter settings, Vermont and all its glory--beautifully described. Creepy, intelligent, addictive, you just have to find out what then next chapter will bring!
