If you have read Christine Feehan, many of the same writing 'ticks' are here. One example is, 'swinging her over his shoulder' which I am fairly certain is in several of her other books. The story line is interesting, but I found her writing style and sex scenes uninteresting.
Same plot. Same characters. Same everything except the italian names of the "special" family that literally dominates their neighborhood. Sorry I bought the book (at a discount).
The only reason it's not a single star is that Feehan has written much worse.
