I was really disappointed in this book. Tad Williams can do so much better than this, and seems to really be stretching himself thin on this one. I liked the first book enough to give the second one a spin, but I will not be reading any further books in this series.
If you want a good Tad Williams series, or a good fantasy series in general, I recommend you read the Dragonbone Chair books.
