I have to agree. I like most of her other stories much better than these two. On the plus side, the sex scenes were typical Lora Leigh - scorching, and the action certainly kept the stories from lagging. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of books where one person fights the relationship for all it's worth. In Embraces, the heroine fought it tooth and nail and approached TSTL territory when it came to handling the dangerous situation with her insane ex. At one point, I hoped the guy would actually get her so the hero could find someone better! In Shameless, it was the hero that was being so pig-headedly stubborn about fighting the relationship. Yes, they both had excuses for why they were that way, and yes, everything ends up okay in the end, but they still needed someone to smack them upside the head for taking so long to figure it out!

Yes, Lora Leigh delivers what she is best known for - hot, steamy, explicit, graphic sex.
But these two stories don't live up to my expectations of her. If you've read 'Dangerous Games', 'Hidden Agendas', or 'Forbidden Pleasures', this one is a notch or two below. But if you're just interested in the sex, she's written some very juicy scenes. Go for it!

This actually was a good book. I have read many others of the series and kind of went backwards and read this one. I really liked Sax's story. Ian was how I expected him to be but I liked both stories. Very hot as usual with Lora Leigh.

Two of the best in this series, so far!
