Hello Fellow Readers:  We all like to read but many of us have other passtimes that we enjoy. I'm hoping that we can share some of our talents with each other in a Share Your Creative Side Swap. Needle work, Paper crafts, Soap making, Candle making, Wood working, Poetry, Beading, Painting/Drawing and so on. The list is endless. Maybe you enjoy several hobbies besides reading.  You will be paired with a partner (not necessarily sending to and receiving from the same person). What you send is up to you, item(s) must be made by you. During the course of the swap, you can share your hobby(ies) and some of your experiences with it, how you became interested in it, if you have done craft fairs, etc.  What you send is up to you. I respectfully request that you, please, do not send political, religious, or items with glitter.

Sign-ups will be until August 4.

Buddy assigned by August 6. Please PM your mailing address when joining.

Shipping will be by August 25.

Calligraphy

This old-school hobby is the design and execution of lettering. The cool thing here is that as you learn it, you can apply it to many things that you write.

Make your envelopes fancy, do upscale decor projects, or even make your business brand stand out.

Lisa, it's interesting that you posted the info about calligraphy.

For those who know me, I always sign my name as ani, no capital A.  Why?  When I took a calligraphy course about a million years ago, the first three letters we learned were "a" "n" and "i".  So, I was able to write my name in calligraphy from the first class.

I didn't keep it up, unfortunately, but spelling my name with a small a has stayed the same.

My BFF does calligraphy. It looks beautiful on envelopes, although, she says, very time consuming.
