It's an easy read. Parts of it seem so contrived though. The humor just was not humrous enough as it seemed thought out and not real somehow. Other than that it was a pretty good read. Will I recommend it to a friend? Probably not.

I read this almost start to finish. Fun and entertaining, and as interesting for the peek into life as an American in Paris as for the dirt on what it's like to be a Cordon Bleu student.

great read, about a journalist who always wanted to go to Paris and take le cordon bleu cooking course,once she loses her high-powered job in London, she decides to follow her passion.it has recipes as well as highlights of the events at the school,plus stories about life in Paris.

...for the valuable recipes alone. I learned so much about gourmet cooking, and realized that I had not forgotten as much of the French I learned in high school and college as I thought! I won't be posting my copy, and I'm sorry, but I want to keep it. C'est magnifique!
