Well one chapter of Janeâs life has closed. The next one looks pretty intriguing.
But to close this phase, Jane pretty much has to fight her way through everything the back cover lists. The actual last Son of Darkness is a minor presence until the end. And that's because there are so MANY villainous power players throughout the book that it got a bit dizzying trying to keep up. Most of Janeâs NO allies show up one way or another. But Soul is a bit disappointing considering how uptight the assistant director of PsyOps usually is. And Leo's presence is still reverberating through the Mithran world, with Jane as the Dark Queen in the cenetr.
This book is not as captivating as the first few volumes. However, anyone who's followed Jane Yellowrock from the beginning will get a sense of closure. Along with a glimpse of the next phase in her journey.
