For several years, I have been addicted to PAtricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series, as well as her Alpha and Omega series. This author really knows her wolves! Which is again quite evident in Shifter's Wolf, which actually includes two of her very early novels: Masques and Wolfsbane. Set in a fantasy world where magic lives, rather than in the contemporary settings of her more recent books. To my delight, I was quickly enveloped in the story, definitely caring about the characters - Aralorn, the heroine and Wolf - er - the wolf. It's also another slight riff on Beauty and the Beast. I definitely burned the midnight oil reading those books! A friend lent Shifter's Wolf to me. Since I have a habit or re-reading, I requested my own copy of each of the individual books from PBS. Can't wait to read more Patricia Briggs!
