Laura Levine's books are always funny, quick reads. This books, as her others has delightful characters, amusing situations, and a pretty good mystery besides.

Freelance writer, Jaine Austen, is not your typical Los Angelino. She's not rich, she's not thin, and she's definitely not starstruck. She's a sarcastic, sometime-sleuth who's never met a carb she didn't like--or a mystery she couldn't solve. A tale of fashion run amok -- a lively sense of humor and an ear for the absurd help Jaine overcome any number of setbacks and a host of fashion no-nos. Jaine is a treasure. Good, good story
Jaine Austen solves another murder with humorous quips and a kind heart.

Her fashion clues are fun to read about.
Another funny cozy mystery in the series. Jaine tries to find who killed a clerk at a store she's trying to write an ad for.
Easy to read, I love the main character, hilarious - total mind candy, but I love it!
The newest installment in the Janine Austen series still keeps me laughing in fits! Great quick read!
Another good one in this funny series!
It started out slow for me but once I got into it was a good red. I enjoyed it.
This was good, the killer surprised me! Love Jaine, shes a hoot!
Love this series!
This was the first I read of this series and I won't be reading any others. I didn't like the main character and she started annoying me with her 'sarcasm' about halfway through the book. If you can get past that, the plot is pretty good and the whodunit was a surprise.
