While this book doesn't specifically focus on training dogs, it's the best dog training book I've ever read. I always give a copy of it to my friends who are getting puppies. (It's also a great book for training husbands!)
Everyone needs to pick up a copy of this book & read it. Not only will you learn how to get what you want in just about every situation, you will be a happier, saner person. Don't let the title fool you, this is not strictly a book about dog training. This is also about human training & how we can change our methods & interactions to prevent frustration in both ourselves and those around us, be they human or animal. Karen Pryor has successfully trained everything from hermit crabs to elephants, puppies to children. Now, you can too.
