It's been far too long since the last entry appeared in this series, but "Shoot to Thrill" is worth the wait. With the same motley crew of characters from previous novels plus an FBI agent who fits surprisingly well with the Monkeewrench gang, the novel features the fast pacing, trademark humor, and plot twists that characterize this well-written series. It's a fast and thoroughly enjoyable read.

Another P.J. Tracy book to love! I cannot express how interesting, complex, and exciting this book is. I nearly ruined the holiday weekend because I just couldn't stop turning pages. Good to the very last unexpected paragraph. All your favorite Monkeewrench characters in an unforgettable plot. Highly recommended.

Another great book in the Monkeewrench series. I really love the characters and feel close to them. Can't wait for another book to be released

I've been reading this series in order. These books are fast reads. The author team writes well. As in some of the previous books, things start well but the endings are rather unsatisfying. In this particular story, one murderer is identified but, although the second one was apprehended, he wasn't named. I thought I had somehow missed it so went back through the last few chapters. I agree with some of the Amazon reviewers who thought the ending was very abrupt. The epilogue had an interesting and surprising twist.

As I've mentioned in reviews of the previous books, some of the characters are rather cartoonish (i.e., Harley, Roadrunner, Annie). There is virtually no "back story" for Roadrunner or Annie--all we really know about them is their flamboyant ways of dressing (Annie lots of feathers, frills, and jewelry and Roadrunner in fluorescent lycra).

In spite of the series having some shortcomings, I plan to continue reading. Sometimes it's nice to have a fast, light read.
