I actually liked this one much better than the last 2 shopaholic books. In this one, Becky is wrapping up her extended honeymoon only to find she has a half sister. She is shocked to learn that her sister is frugal and hates to shop. She wants to change her ways to impress her sister and that helped me to like Becky a lot more. I was very annoyed by her antics in Shopaholic Takes Manhattan and Shopaholic Ties the Knot because she wasn't learning anything or growing as a character for me. In this one, however, she had more depth and I liked that. Now I'm really looking forward to reading Shopaholic and Baby!

I've read this series and loved every book so far. This one was good, but not as enjoyable as the previous ones. Less shopping and more trouble making!

So far, this is the best of the Shopaholic series. I was frustrated with Becky. I really wanted to slap her silly. Her spending was outrageous. That's why it's taken me forever to get through this series. I can't handle the over-indulgence and stupidity of the main character. I guess I felt like her sister, Jess. Always the frugal one, pinching pennies wherever I can. But, unfortunately, I know people like Becky. They never realize how misguided and shallow they seem. It's always someone else's fault. With recession on the horizon, I hope these people realize the hole they've gotten themselves into and try to dig themselves out. There's time!

I was a bit disappointed in this one. I was rooting so hard for Becky, and her sister was so cold to her. I wanted more humor and warmth in this one.

This is the 4th book in a series of the Shopaholic. Becky Bloomwood, America's f avorite shopaholic, is back in a hilarious, heartwarming tale of a married life, best friends, and long-lost sisters (and the perils of simply having to own an Angel handbag!). This is a very good book. I have loved the whole series. Good reading.

Another amazing book in the Shopaholic series. Its amazing the trouble that Becky Bloomwood Brandon gets herself in. Its laugh out loud funny.

this time around Becky, the spoiled, materialistic bumblehead is unemployed and married to her sure to be long-suffering lover Luke. They spend the early part of the novel honeymooning around the globe for a year while Becky secretly spends all sorts of dough on silly trinkets and other assorted things (such as two dining room tables!) that Luke doesn't want or need. How the business savvy Luke remains oblivious to her spending is beyond me but oblivious he is until they return home and the huge trucks arrive with all of her secret purchases. He frets about the finances and puts her on a budget and, of course, she has a secret credit card that allows her to continue to do major damage. Luke nearly works himself to death while Becky is off putting his career in jeopardy so she can buy a trendy bag. Serves him right for marrying the bubblehead, if you ask me.
When Becky returns home from her travels she discovers she has a half sister and is overjoyed with visions of shopping, sleepovers, popcorn and spending endless hours watching Pretty Woman and Sleepless in Seattle with her new sis. It's difficult to believe this woman is nearing 30 because she thinks like a tween, but what do I know? Much to Becky's dismay she quickly learns that her new sister isn't all she dreamed her up to be. First off she hates shopping, is super thrifty, is an environmental activist and wisely wants nothing to do with Becky. Due to Becky's wildly self-destructive antics the new sis warms up to her and opens up. This part of the book partially redeems Becky's silly behavior. As always, Becky means well in this novel and down deep has a good heart but she's such a materialistic airhead she makes me want to scream throughout most of the book. I'm sure I'll be back for more punishment when the next installment comes my way . . .

I got completely addicted to this series of books. Even though they make me nervous at times, I love living vicariously through the main character and her shopping sprees. Its an easy read for fun.

Definetley a classic Becky Bloomwood story here. She returns to London and finds a family secret waiting for her. She still struggles with finances and this book is quite hilarious. Not my most favorite in the series, but still fun and quick.

An always funny and charming story of the Shopaholic and her non-shopping, frugal sister.

Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) returns from an almost-year-long honeymoon with husband Luke. When some of her souvenirs are delivered to their London flat, Luke is beyond furious with Becky's out of control shopping. (To be honest, her over-the-top spending habits get a bit tiresome after 3 books.) Becky manages to get rid of almost all her stuff on eBay, but also sells off some of Luke's gifts to prospective clients. In the meantime, Becky learns of a long-lost sister and yearns to have a chummy relationship with Jess, who's having none of it. How does it get reconciled - not the way you'd think? An enjoyable read for a lazy weekend.

The fourth in the Shopaholic series and a cute one! Becky finally gets some things in her head!! An easy, cute read.
This is the first book of Sophie's that I have read. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Just the thought process that Becky goes through and the comments she makes to herself are hilarious.

Even though I love this series, this is my least favorite book of them all. The wit is missing, the humor. Rebeca meets he long lost sister who is the exact opposite of her and they end up forming a bond! The story is touching, but lacking what the oprevious has offered.

Our favorite shopaholic is back-with tons of souveneirs from her honeymoon she must fit into a bachelor pad! The internal and external stuggles with adjusting to married life will hit home with everyone. The addition of a unknown sister into the mix and the development of their characters was pure genius. Great read!

Ok - so it's no Pulitzer winner. I suspect Kinsella won't be going to Sweden to collect silverware at any point.... But if you want something easy, brainless, quick and fun, pick this up for a couple of hours.
good book
This book was a great part of the series. Becky's life is changes for the better.
This is the fourth book in the Shopaholic Series.
Like the 3 books to precede it, this book is a light-hearted, fun read.

Cute book - easy read
This is a nice book to take on vacation and enjoy in a lawn chair by the pool. Easy read/entertaining.
This book was a fun and easy read. Very enjoyable.
Great book I loved it!!
If you are a Shopaholic fan you must read this book. It builds the life of Becky Bloomwood. Overall, it was not my favorite Shopaholic book, and I would not recommend it to someone that was just discovering the series. It mainly served the purpose to build characters in the series, and developed Beckys and Lukes marriage.
This is a fun read. Just like the other books in the Shopaholic series, you'll laugh at the predicaments Becky gets herself into. It's a simple, fun time!
good book
Love this series, it is just what you need when you have read too many serious books in a row! this book introduces a new chaacter, Jess. She is certainly not one that can be loved outright, but I guess you could say she grows on you. My thoughts would be she does not make another appearance unless it is by mention only, but who knows.
Excellent read, couldn't put it down!
I love the Shopaholic series and hope it continues on.
Another hilarious book by a superb author!
This wasn't my favorite book in the series. It was sort of slow and not as funny as previous books in the series. It was still a good book though!
Yeah for more Becky! A sister? What??!! You have to read it.....
A laugh out loud read! I loved it and read it all in one sitting!
Very cute and funny and you get to see a softer side of Rebecca Bloomwood
very easy read, typical sopie kinsella

I really liked this book, the finding of a sister was so interesting and funny! I think I liked this one the best so far.
Cute story.
I'm usually a mystery reader but I liked this non mystery series. Fun, light read. Look forward to reading more by this author.
I didn't read this very far. Didn't like it.
Great book. Laugh-out-loud funny.
Becky is fun and a wonderful time, every time
Becky meets her half sister. It was weird, and I was worried about it at first because they didn't seem to have anything in common. The sister kind of seemed mean in the beginning. Becky of course lies and shops and lies and shops some more, and this annoys the sister. But they eventually get to know each other better. And Becky is so optimistic, and she always strives to make the best of everything. And everything always seems to work out for her, but I won't give away details. If you like any of the other Shopaholic books, you'll like this one, too.
Cute and fun. Quick read.
not the best in the Shopoholic series, but not horrible
Chic Lit all the way. Great series. You really can jump into the book without ever having read the others and fall right into. Great Summer Read!
This was a wonderful light read typical of the other Shopaholic books in the series.
This was one of my favorites in the series. I really enjoyed it!
Classic Shop-a-holic. Love her!
Becky and Luke finally return from their year long honeymoon and they finally realize how many souvenirs she purchased. She is the Shopaholic, after all. Becky's sister suddenly materializes and surprise - she hates to shop. At the end of this book, Becky actually seems to have learned some important lessons.
Another fun Sophie Kinsella read. As a recent newleywed, this one brought laughter to my nighty reads...a definite MUST read!
Shopaholic Becky gets married and goes on her honeymoon; the return trip is filled with surprises!
the best of the shopaholic series
Love all of the shopaholic books. This one is just as funny as the rest.
Great book! Classic Shopoholic!
Book #4 - The 'Shopaholic' books are such fun reads - sometimes Becky is waaaaay over the top - but you end up loving her! Can't wait for the next in the series!!
As always Sophie Kinsella's Becky is brilliant! Loved this book!
This is always a fun, fast read. I love Kinsella's writing and I think the main character, Becky, is hillarious. She is so many women. She's always getting herself into trouble and thinking everything will turn out fine. The whole series is fantastic. I would definitely read the first three of the series before jumping into this one, it'll make what Becky goes through all the more amusing.
A good read.
Great book!!! laugh out loud book...
not the best book of the series but enjoyable
Another funny adventure with Becky...
This was the best of the "shopaholic" series yet!
Loved it! Becky Bloomwood is at it again. Could she possibly have a sister that hates shopping?!
4th in the series.
4th in the series.
I love Kinsella's books, she makes me laugh every time!!!!!!
Gotta love Becky!
A fun read with an creative story line.
Can a shopaholic find something in common with a sister who hates to shop?
Another fun episode from Sophie Kinsella - giving us a look into Rebecca Bloomwood's retail-fueled reality. This book allows us to see a little different side of Rebecca....the thrifty one? A good read for anyone that likes the Shopaholic series or Bridget Jones style Brit-Chick fiction.
Lovet he series and the author as always leaves you wanting and waiting for another great book.
What is not to love about this series?
I just LOVE this series of books. Can't put 'em down!
I love the Shopaholic Series...very entertaining & funny!
Funny and light read!
Not as good as Domestic Goddess, but still good.
The Shopaholic seris is very entertaining. Anything by Sophie Kinsella is sure to be a good read.
Very cute book. I never get bored with Sophia Kinsella's writing.
A fun book. I loved "The Undomestic Goddess" and found this one to be as good!
A quick read for a summer afternoon; read all in Sophie Kinsella's series.
As in the previous books, Becky always manages to "over-spend" and this is no exception when Luke and she are on their extended honeymoon. But when they get back to Londaon, Suze has another god friend and Becky finds out she has a sister... A sister who couldn't be more unlike Becky!
Becky and Luke get into it before he leaves fo5 a job. And Becky leaves to learn from her sister, without telling anyone where she is going. As usual, Becky gets into a fix. But Suze has gotten vibes that she is in trouble and comes to the rescue.
I really liked this book -- better even than the first three books.

such a cute, funny series - quick read
Yet another joyful romp in the crazy life of Becky Bloomwood! If you've not read the other Shopaholic books, please do so. She's hysterical!
A great continuation of the Shopaholic series. If you liked the others, you'll likely like this one too. I love the Shopaholic series. The books are like junk food for my brain!
I think the best Shopaholic book yet. A quick, fun read. I loved it!
I love all of the Shopaholic books! Sophia Kinsella is one of my favorite authors!
Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) returns with a vengeance in bestseller Kinsella's fourth Shopaholic novel. Her 10-month globe-trot with hubby Luke was a shopping spree disguised as a honeymoonheck, Becky will walk across hot coals for an aquamarine necklace (and thereby trick her Sri Lankan yogi into thinking she's achieved enlightenment)but the problems of the real world (sort of) surface once the happy couple lands back in London. ("Luke's penthouse has its own lift right to the front door, which is just so cool!"). Even lovely Luke's patience is supremely tried when those two truckloads of purchases show up. What's worse: Becky's best friend, Suze, has found a new best friend, and her parents have discovered another daughter. Seems Dad had a fling with a train stewardess back in the 1970sand Jessica was the result. Becky is over the moon, picturing heart-to-heart talks, shopping excursions, sisters' nights out and so forthso she's totally unprepared for the actual Jessica, a frugal environmentalist who (gasp!) actually hates shopping. Prattling Becky tries to charm her sis, but it doesn't seem to be working; meanwhile, Luke is preoccupied with his job, and then there's that stranger from Milan whom Becky owes for getting her that impossibly perfect Angel bag... what does he want with Luke?
Cute - continues the story and keeps you laughing!
Fun! Fun! Fun!
A light read, but not as good as the other books in this series.
This is the best series for weekend reads! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Love Sophie Kinsella - she's very funny!
One of the better ones.
Dare I say it....this series is getting old and tired.
I LOVE this series. Hysterically funny!
Fun, quick read - Bex is back, and just as interesting.
another great and funny book in the shopoholic series!
Cute continuation of the Shopoholic saga.
great beach reading
My favorite of the series so far - Becky meets her previously unknown half-sister, a person totally unBecky. And, of course, Becky gets herself into loads of trouble. A fun read.
Can't wait for the next chapter in Becky Bloomwood's life even though everything she does is a little on the ridiculous side.
Midly tiresom it is very much like the first two in the series with the main caractor repeating the same mistakes that land her into downfall but some how managing to charm her way out of her troubles with out so much as an inclicling of learning from her past woes. It plays like an old record with an oddly added sister charactor who unnessacery and who never ends up being bevievable or a fit tot his story line.
The shopaholic series is my favorite series. The way Sophie Kinsella writes I feel that Becky is calling me on the phone talking to me about all of this that has happened to her. Such a fun series and this book is no exception!
The Shopoholic series is FANTASTIC. Fun and funny.
Another great Shopaholic book! I can't believe each one is so much fun to read! I just love them!!!

Laugh out loud fun...I have enjoyed this whole series!
Cute read. A bit slow at first, but the end really made up for it.
VERY VERY cute. Just a really sweet Sophie Kinsella book about Becky Bloomwood...
I did not finish the book. Not as good as the first Shopaholic books.
Love the shopaholic books!
Fun to read! One of my favorite authors!
Good beach read and follow-up to the others in the series!
Shopaholic with depth! Wonderful, of course.
A bit of an adventure in this one. I love these books!
Always a funny author. This bookis 4th in a series.
Really enjoyed it - typical Shopaholic book, easy to read, crazy Becky and all that - lots of fun.
Not as good as the rest, but a definite must read
If you like the rest of the Shopaholic books, you'll love this one just as much. Easy, quick, humorous read!
LOVE this series! Great book!
Well, this one was quite cute, too. I liked it quite a bit! Although some minor details bothered me, but it really doesn't detract from the fun of the series, really. I mean, they are supposed to be silly books - and this one with its rather outlandish plot was the silliest of them all. I must admit, however, I am disappointed that the next book is the last in the series...
Becky (Bloomwood) Brandon and her new husband Luke take an almost year long honeymoon around the world. But Becky finds out that her world at home has been turned upside-down. Her best friend Suze, now a mother of 3 children, has seemingly found a replacement best friend who fits in with her new way of life. However, Becky also learns that she has a long-lost sister, so she's convinced that this is the perfect chance to have a new best friend. But Becky's plans of shared shopping experiences go awry when she learns that Jess HATES shopping and is very thrifty. She appears to be Becky's opposite in almost every way. Becky also learns that a secret purchase she made on her honeymoon could end up ruining her marriage with Luke due to a connection with a convicted criminal who now seems to want payback from Becky. Becky is determined to make both her relationship with her sister and with her husband work, but at what cost?
Once again, we see Becky get herself into the most bizarre jams- though this book has a bigger focus on her often disastrous attempts to forge a bond with her sister (though I was also highly entertained by Becky's attempts to hide the joint checking account statements from Luke as well as her secret and super-secret credit cards...not that you should keep things that like from your spouse, but it's funny to see how many "accidents" these statements have every month). In addition, the letters from creditors and banks that preface a number of the chapters as usual also get a new twist with a few from thrifty Jess as well. Although this book is quite entertaining, I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two, I'm not really sure why. Still, it's worth the read to find out what happens with the Shopaholic characters you know and (for the most part) love.

Book four of the Shopaholic Series and just as good as the first! I was addicted (pardon the pun) to all of these books. Sophie Kinsella is an amazing author. In this book our favorite shopaholic finds out she has a sister and can't wait to take her shopping! Will her sister be just as much of a shopaholic as she is? Read the book to find out!
Super cute book for light enjoyable reading. I enjoy all of Sophie Kinsella's books.
My 14 year old daughter loved this book - and the series, as do many of her friends.
After taking a break from this series, this certain book was a welcome back. It was interesting to find out about a sister that was the exact opposite of Becky and I was surprised to see how much patience Becky had for their relationship.
I have been reading this series in order, and I think this is my least favorite one so far. I didn't think that this book was as humorous as the first few. And I felt that too many of the plot points were too unbelievable. And I went into this book thinking it would be more about the traveling for the honeymoon and was disappointed when it ended so soon after the book started.
But, all in all, still a good series. I love the character of Becky.
But, all in all, still a good series. I love the character of Becky.
i love this series. I think Becky is hillarious!!
Loved it!!
This book was a great addition to the shopaholic books, though I felt it was slightly less exciting than the first few by this author. All the same, Becky's adventures trying to make her sister like her were amusing and held my attention for the entire two days it took to read this book.
So much fun!
Not sure why this came up as "Shopaholic Sister", it's actually "Shopaholic and Sister". Another fun adventure with Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood).
The correct title of this book is Shopaholic & Sister. Another fun, quick read by Sophie Kinsella. Becky Brandon, aka Becky Bloomwood, continues to get in over her head again, and again all works out for the best in the end. If you've read any of the other Shopaholic books and liked them... you will enjoy this one too.
Bought when on vacation. Too light for me.
Great book!
What's a round the world honeymoon if you can buy the odd souvenir to ship back home. Like the twenty silk dressing gowns Becky found in Hong Kong...the hand carved dining table (and ten chairs) from Sri Lanka...the, um, huge wooden giraffes from Malawai (that her husband Luke expressly forbade her to buy)...Only now Becky and Luke have returned home to London and Luke is furious. Two truckloads of those souvenirs have cluttered up their loft, and the bills for them are outrageious. Lunke insists Becky go on a budget. And worse: her beloved best friend has found a new best friend while Becky was away. Becky's feeling rather blue when her partnts deliver some incredible news. She has a long-lost sister!! Becky is thrilled! She's convinced her sisterr will be her true soulmate. They'll go shopping together, have manicures together... Until she meets Jessica for the first time and gets the shock of her life. Surely Becky Boolmwoods's sister can't...hate shopping?
Becky has a sister who doesn't like shopping and is frugal. Nothing like her but just like her with her own passions. What a surprise!!!! A funny story and a page turner. I couldn't put it down until I read the last page. I think you'd like it too!
