Very, very helpful. My friend quit her job and moved to CA to seek a new life after reading this.....gut wrenching!

In this book, Anne Quindlen reflects on what it takes to "get a life" - to live deeply every day and from your own unique self, rather than merely to exist through your days.

A Short Guide to a Happy Life reads like a commencement speech. Basic advice is--don't wait for a life changing experience to change your life. Savor the little pleasures, and treat your life as though you only had a limited time to live (which, of course, you do). A VERY short book (50 pages, mostly pictures), one might even be able to get a teenager to read it.

Maybe good for a teenager but as an adult I found this lacking content. Very disappointing.
Nice little book.
A short guide to a happy life-Anna Quindlen style!
The title says it all :)
A cute and sweet book. Very short, with lots of generic photos. Might make a nice gift.

Sit down for a little while and enjoy a short, relaxing and uplifting perspective on life.
This book is a wonderful sweet read to pick up your spirits. A wonderful friend shared it with me to my delightand touched my heart!
Quick read. Wonderfully thought provoking.
Well, I can't help but think that I'd rather read a book on this subject by someone LESS financially and professionally successful than Anna Quindlen.
short 5 minute read with the message of live a life to the fullest, notice the small things, and be there for your friends, your family and yourself. stop. listen. and laugh. smell the flowers, send the letter, enjoy the meal, and watch the view.
