NOTE******* This is the original Shrek, not the syrupy movie with the happy ending. This hilarious book takes a more cynical look at repugnant characters. Has a happy ending though. For 2nd-4th grade readers.
the movies were loosely based on this clever, humorous story about an ugly ogre and how he finds his true love. "They lived horribly ever after!" my daughter thought it was hilarious!
