This is a Sunny Randall novel. Robert Parker's books are easy to read with short chapters. If I know I'll get interrupted a lot, I'll read one of his books.

I really like this character, has a lot of depth. Good plot.
I love the Sunny Randall series. Sometimes her "macho" side seems contrived, but it's well worth over looking any minor faults because, as usual, the plot is riveting.
Parker books are easy and quick to read.
This wasn't a great book but it was easy to read and can be read in one day so save it for a gloomy rainy day.

Sunny Randall is back and a real pleasure to read.
A great addition to Parker's Sunny Randall series. Sunny is hired to protect a female novelist (think Jackie Collins) from her ex-husband, a shrink. What do you think Sunny does? Yep, becomes his patient. Check this one out for sure, I loved it.
This is another good read from Robert Parker. A Page turner.
Usual detective story
A Sunny Randall book. Almost as much fun as Spenser. I love anything Parker writes.
Boston detective Sunny Randall is hired to protect a popular woman writer. The writer's ex-husband, a psychiatrist, is stalking her. Sunny becomes one of his patients and discovers he is involved in sex and murder.
the man is not only a shrink, he's a stalker. but when Sunny becomes his patient, she discovers as much about herself as she does about the crimina mind...

A Sunny Randall mystery, Robert B. Parker's female PI.

I love Parker and this is right up there with the best of his books.

Great Sunny Randall story. I am really liking this character.
I enjoy Sunny Randall as a character. This book was a little off for me but still a good read.
Loved it!! Sunny is wonderful & each book is better than the previous one. This is the 3rd one in the series.
I especially enjoyed this story. It had seemed to me that Jesse Stone and Sunny Randall were very similar in the early novels, but I think that Parker is starting to separate them at this point.
I enjoyed the psychological discussions of why she did what she did and why she is the way she is. It added another layer to the character.

A Sunny Randall mystery novel...
Enjoyed this book very much. Was my first R. B. Parker book.
I loved this book - the characters were interesting, it kept me guessing what could happen to Sunny as she takes on a job going on tour with a best selling author, as body guard/escourt to protect her from an ex husband, who is a weird psychotherapist who has all these women clients who end up dead.
Too short, not enough depth; too much attention paid to the sexual relationship between Sunny and Richie.
Didn't read.
Always a pleasure to read Robert B Parker.... no disappoint. Super read.
Purchased from the Sherman Oaks, Ca. Public Library's Books for a Dime shelf for the purpose of trading.
