I really enjoyed this book. I never knew anything about Vivian Vance before. I was surprised at the life she led!

I would have thought she was just like Ethel Mertz in real life, but instead she was almost the exact opposite.

I was facinated by the relationship with Lucille Ball in particular - a little love/hate, but definitely a long-term friendship.

Always loved watching "I Love Lucy" when growing up and this was an interesting read about Vivian Vance.

I love celebrity biographies of the Golden Age of Hollywood as well as the early years of TV. This bio was quite insightful, not only about Vivian Vance's well-documented "I Love Lucy" years, but gives intriguing glimpses (many chapters, in fact) of who Vivian was before Ethel, and how she dealt with being called Ethel for the rest of her life after her famous role. A rare treat to read, as it has been out of print for a while.
