John Groberg arrives in Tonga to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday SAints without knowing the culture or the language.
A beautifully written story about how he found faith and friendship among the people he was called to serve. He shares many unforgettable experiences of humor and endurance.

Better than the movie, but I guess that's how it usually goes.

By far one of the best books I've ever read. Full of adventure, action, romance and meaning. Best of all it's a true story. My children loved when I told them the stories from his life, at bedtime. The movie tells some of the stories in the book but the book tells so many more, some I liked more than the ones they chose for the movie. Definately a worthwhile and heartwarming book. I loved the movie too.
