I liked that it was about Ukrainians, but the book in general just didn't hold together and feel 'well written'--a mish mosh of back/forth. It felt like the author couldn't just write it from the beginning and go through her life, so had to make an old womans memories format (so overused) with jig-jags and no cohesiveness.

What an amazing book! If you don't read anything else...........read this book!...
(smile) It is one of the most profound, moving stories I have ever read. It was hard for me to pick up another book after I read it, because it stayed with me for days.....
(smile) It will touch your heart and enrich your soul......(smile)
