While reading the first chapter, I thought the book was kind of lame, but I'm glad I kept reading it. It definately got better. It's one of those books where you predict what will happen, and every time you're completely wrong. It kept me totally engrossed. Don't be fooled by the descripton on
the book on the back cover, there's way more to the plot than that.

This is the sequel to Silent Run. As a sequel it was actually a better book then most sequels. It has more suspense and a better story line. This is one of those books that truly keeps you guessing and just when you think you've figured out the plot...you start wondering all over again why the past seems to be more of a pull than the present. Great read and one that I would highly recommend. Reading Silent Run first does help with who all the characters are and how they relate to each other.

Much better than the first book [Silent Run].
More depth to the story, more guessing, who done it.
The little cryptic visions are good they lead you
to ask those questions needed.
Nice fast read. Yes this can be read separately.
Give it a try.
