This is a heartbreaking character study of marriage, parenting, and the impact of keeping secrets. I'm impressed that Miss Greaves, who is only 28 years old, was able to explore a 40-year marriage in such a believable manner.

The story begins near the end and uses unique devices to share Frank and Maggie's backstory. It felt a little slow in the middle but keep reading! I will take some of this book's lessons into my relationships.
