This is an amazing true story about a very determined man persevering against overwhelming obstacles. It is well written by someone who tracked down some of the survivors and interviewed them. I was glued to it until the very end...much like the people who followed it on the news while it was actually happening in 1952.

The story of a strong man against the sea, a captain who was attempting to save a terribly damaged ship from force 12 winds with somewhat surprising results.
