This is a nice uplifting book about one of the most endearing and humble men. If you had a TV as a kid there is a great chance that you used to be Mister Roger's "neighbor." If you loved or respected this man at anytime in your childhood you will continue to do this after reading this book.
I thought this was a wonderful story about a wonderful man, as told by one of his friends. I have always had a lot of regard for Mr. Rogers. I don't usually like to read books about my heroes because I always find out things I don't really want to know.
I'm glad to report that, in this case, Fred Rogers is everything he appeared to be and more. I'm so glad I was able to get a glimpse of him outside the "neighborhood".
If you, or your kids grew up with Mr. Rogers and you remember him fondly, then I suggest you read this book.
